J-W Energy Company is pleased to announce that J-W Operating Company and its subsidiary companies are restructuring in order to better reflect their respective business functions. Henceforth, J-W Energy Company will be the parent company and Cohort Energy Company will ultimately be merged with J-W Operating Company, as an exploration and production organization with substantial operations in a number of states.
"This restructuring will better encompass the companies' respective scope of services and strengthen each company's identity in its segment of the multi-faceted energy industry. We believe strongly that the name J-W Energy Company will better reflect our current business activities," commented Gene Gradick, President, J-W Energy Company.
A new logo will reflect the new structure, but no management changes are planned to be made. The names of the other existing subsidiary companies, J-W Power Company, J-W Measurement Company, J-W Wireline Company, J-W Manufacturing Company and J-W Gathering Company, will not be changed.
"The parent company has been known as J-W Operating Company since its founding in 1960. This change is an important milestone in the evolution of the J-W family of companies. As our companies continue to grow it is important for us to adapt, and I believe this change and our business unit structure will allow us to do so" stated H.G. Westerman., J-W Energy Company's Chairman and Chief Executive Officer.
J-W Operating Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of J-W Energy Company, is a domestically-oriented exploration and production company with most of its activities in the Ark-La-Tex, East Texas, North Texas, Rocky Mountains, Appalachian and Gulf Coast regions.
