J-W Operating Company makes National and Regional Publications

J-W Operating Company is pleased to announce that The Dallas Morning News ranked the company as the 36th largest private company in Dallas-Fort Worth in 2005 whereas the company was ranked 43rd in 2004 in the same publication.  In addition, J-W Operating Company was ranked 22nd among the largest energy companies headquartered in Dallas-Fort Worth.

These rankings are published yearly in a May special edition of The Dallas Morning News.  The publication ranks companies that are headquartered in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex based on the previous years revenue and business category.  Other rankings include largest public company, largest employer, largest hospitals, largest auto dealerships, largest financial institutions, largest retailers and largest energy companies. 

J-W Operating Company was recently ranked by American Oil and Gas Reporter Magazine.  The ranking is based on the average number of rigs running per week for wells greater than 10,000 feet in depth.  Cohort Energy Company, a wholly-owned subsidiary of J-W Operating Company, has approximately seven (7) rigs running continuously at any one time.

J-W Operating Company is currently ranked 36th by Rig Location and Permit Report Service (RigData) out of the Top 100 Operators based on Footage Drilled while Excell Services, Inc. is ranked  66th in the Top 100 Drillers based on Footage Drilled.

J-W Power Company remains the largest independent compression company by units and by horsepower ranked by the Gas Compressor Association.
