J-W Power Company to Present at Gas/Electric Partnership Conference

J-W Power Company will present at the upcoming Gas/Electric Partnership Conference XVII on February 10 - 11, 2009 in Houston, TX.

James R. Barr, Sales and Marketing Manager for J-W Power Company, will present on Supply & Demand Trends and Future Availability of Small Horsepower Compresion Equipment.

Mr. Barr joined J-W Operating Company in August 1987  progressing to Regional Sales Manager in 1991. Mr. Barr was promoted to Sales & Marketing Manager in 1998 when J-W Power Company was formed as a separate business unit specializing in compression. At J-W, Mr. Barr has focused on fleet standardization and management, coordination of sales operations, supervision of the applications engineering department and central liaison between manufacturing, applications and operations. Prior to joining J-W, he served seven years as Laboratory Manager with Core Laboratories. Mr. Barr attended Louisiana Tech University 1977 to 1980, and is currently a student at Texas A & M Commerce. He is a board member of the Gas Compressor Association and is active in the Gas Processors Suppliers Association.

John Dutton, Operations Manager for J-W Power Company, will participate in a panel discusion on New Source Performance Standards for IC engines.  He is a leading expert on the new EPA standards effecting the gas compression industry.

Mr. Dutton worked for Delhi Gas as an engineer prior to joining J-W Operating Company in 1998. At J-W Operating Company, he spent four years in the corporate business development group and six years as an Operations Manager for the midstream pipeline group. In early 2008, Mr. Dutton transferred to the gas compression group as Operations Manager for J-W Power Company.  In addition, John is the current Chairman of the Health, Safety and Environmental Committee of the Gas Compressors Association. Mr. Dutton holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma.
